Universal Flood and Temperature Detector
The Fibaro Flood Sensor is a universal detector that detects flooding and measures the temperature. It is compatible with the Z-Wave standard . This device works with a battery (with an estimated lifetime of approximately 2 years) and can also be connected to the mains supply (12 or 24 VDC). The flood alarm message is sent to devices in the Z-Wave network or to any alarm center by opening the NC contact.
This device is equipped with a temperature sensor which can monitor, for example, the temperature of the floor. The Fibaro Flood Sensor is designed to be recessed in the floor or in a wall with the contacts of the flood sensor on the outside. This device is equipped with an LED indicator and an audible alarm. In addition, the Fibaro Flood Sensor is equipped with a tilt sensor informing about its movement or overturning (for example, in the event of theft) by emitting an audible signal and by triggering the alarm in the controller or in the alarm panel. The LED indicator signals any flood detection and can also function as a Z-Wave network range tester. This device does not sink and will remain on the surface of the water while emitting an alarm signal in the event of a major flood.

Fibaro Z-Wave System Fibaro is a system that requires no additional wires and is based on Z-Wave technology . The advantage of the system used by Fibaro is that the devices, in addition to being transmitters or receivers of signals, also act as repeaters by transmitting information if a direct connection between the transmitter and the receiver cannot be established.
If the connection cannot therefore be established directly between the transmitter and the receiver, it will be ensured thanks to other intermediate elements Fibaro is a two-way wireless system, which means that the signal is not only sent to the receivers but the latter also send back the confirmation of its receipt. They confirm their status, thus making it possible to always see whether the device has been activated or not. Ultra-reliable transmissions Fibaro works on the free data transmission band using the frequency: 868.4 MHz (in France). Each Fibaro network is identified by a unique number (home ID) . It is therefore possible to collaborate in the same building, two or even several systems, without creating interference.
Even if Z-Wave technology is recent, it has already become, like Wi-Fi, an official standard. Several manufacturers from a wide variety of sectors offer solutions that are based on this Z-Wave technology and are compatible with each other. This is what makes this system reliable, open and will only continue to grow over time. |
