The Devialet Phantom II 98 dB connected speaker is a more compact version of the Devialet Phantom I 103 dB and Devialet Phantom I 108 dB models, from which it takes up the form and functions.

The Devialet Phantom II 98 dB connected speaker adopts a patented hybrid analog-digital amplification capable of delivering a peak power of 400 watts. A colossal power, which is explained by the technology of the on-board bass speakers. Specifically designed to go very low in frequency - down to 18 Hz! - they are naturally of low sensitivity and their aluminum membrane is heavy. Sine qua non conditions to tease the infra-bass despite a reduced emissive surface and the load volume of a compact loudspeaker. The midrange and treble frequency registers are entrusted to two other specific loudspeakers, also with an aluminum cone. Thus equipped, the Devialet Phantom II 98 dB loudspeaker can produce a sound volume of 98 dB (at 1 m).

Equipped with WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth network controllers, the Devialet Phantom II 98 dB speaker allows streaming in UPNP up to 24 bits / 192 kHz. In addition, the Apple AirPlay protocol is integrated, to listen to music from an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac or from iTunes (Mac OS and Windows). Spotify can also be used from the native Spotify application. As for the Bluetooth receiver, it supports SBC, AAC (iPhone) and aptX (Samsung and smartphones with Qualcomm SoC) codecs.
