3D Secure: How it works...

Reinforced bank payment thanks to 3D-SECURE

Since October 1, 2008, banks have offered enhanced security for payment by credit card. tecin.fr implemented this device. Now you must enter an authentication code to make a payment by credit card.

This authentication is done via an additional partner site of the bank. The site URL begins with https://[yourbank].wlp-acs.com

This greatly reduces the chances of fraudulent use of your bank card. So even if your bank details were stolen or captured in any way, they could not be used without knowing the authentication code.

Note: this PIN code is not that of your bank card (when used physically) but a code in its own right reserved for payments on the Internet!

What is my 3D-SECURE code?

Depending on your bank, this code was either assigned to you directly or you will be asked to define it during your first payment by bank card on the Internet (varies according to your bank's policy and the type of card).
