APPLE M2 chip

The Apple M2 chip is the latest generation of processor chips designed by Apple for use in its Mac computers. It was announced in November 2020 and was first integrated into the new versions of MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini which were launched in November and December 2020.

The M2 chip is based on the ARM architecture and is manufactured using 5nm etching technology, which makes it smaller and faster than Apple's previous processor chips.
